epic23 Esports Titles Announced

We've now reviewed our esports titles from 2017 and are able to confirm which titles we will be running for epic23 in February 2018. It's been a tough decision to drop titles but at the same time, we're excited to bring something new into the epic.LAN lineup after lots of requests in the past 12 months, so for epic23 we will have:

  • 5v5 CS:GO
  • 5v5 Dota2
  • 3v3 Rocket League *NEW*
  • 1v1 Starcraft 2

Rocket League gets promoted up from our casual tournaments into our esports lineup, and we'll be announcing the prize pool soon.

That does mean we've decided to drop Overwatch at this time, unfortunately we don't feel that we're seeing the numbers to justify an esports tournament at the moment. We will also be moving Hearthstone in to our fun tournament lineup due to the smaller numbers attending purely for the esports side.

As always, we will continue to monitor a range of competitive scenes for our future plans.

Even though the epic23 tournaments had not been announced, we understand that some players may have purchased tickets anticipating particular titles. So if you had signed up for epic23 for Overwatch or Hearthstone and now do not wish to attend, we will be processing refunds for those teams/players without admin fees if you notify us by 10th December as a goodwill gesture. If you have free tickets for winning epic22, these tickets are not refundable, but you may transfer them to other players if you no longer wish to attend, please contact us if you wish to do so.
