As with our previous events there is not just one first person shooter tournament to keep your eyes on, as we also have our Call of Duty 4 event being played throughout the course of the weekend. At the time of writing the Call of Duty tournament had a total of 13 teams signed up, with 9 of them having completed line-ups. This makes the tournament the most subscribed competition here at epic.TEN which means it's going to be packed full of potential and nail biting match ups.
Here is a brief overview of some of the teams competing at the event:
imGaming – Stuzzor, Chris, DOOPZ, Blackout, Frazzy
Popular media sources peg imGaming as the probable favourite to take the top spot at the epic.TEN Call of Dudy 4 event. The team consists of a number of players based in Britain as well as their resident Czech player Vaclav Frazzy Stekr. The team also contains Lee Blackout Parsons who started playing along side the team back in October. This team come into the event as a well established team who have been playing with each other for a number of months. Due to their history of achieving numerous titles together the team are widely considered as one of the best teams at the epic.TEN event. This team certainly have the potential to be playing for the top spot at this event, the main question is: Who against?
Phantasmagoria – Kex, Leo, Mark, VAE, Luboshmir
Every tournament at a LAN event has a mix team that can do one of two things: take it all the way or fall short within the early stages of the event. For the epic.TEN Call of Duty 4 tournament, Phantasmagoria are that team. Featuring well respected Czech player Lubomir “Luboshmir” Pesak the team are definitely one to watch out for. Also in the line-up is experienced Brit Mark “Mark” Horner who has represented a vast number of organisations within the game. Due to the imminent decline of the game this mix will be looking to make one last hurrah before the potential ending to the game that they love. The Phantasmagoria team have supposedly put the time in to practice thoroughly prior to this event however with no prior results to go on this team are certainly a wildcard heading in to the event.
Decerto – Luke, qwRx, KyleEe, aidN, Machine
Decerto enter this event with a completely British line-up and they do so with a patchy history. In the past the team have been expected to perform on various levels and have repeatedly fallen short of expectations despite the potential that lies within the team. Decerto may be entering the event as somewhat of an unknown quantity given the star studded line-ups of the other teams present in the tournament.
Due to the demise of the Call of Duty 4 scene, evident from the dramatic decline in sign ups from epic.NINE through to epic.TEN, the teams that are currently present are likely the best of the remaining teams within the British scene. With that being said, there are numerous teams not mentioned in this article that may have the potential to cause an upset, so make sure you tune in to the epic.TEN stream from QuadV to catch all the action.
