Thank you to everyone who sent in their feedback for epic.TEN. We've now had chance to go through and analyse it all so that we can look at the improvements that we can make for epic.ELEVEN and also to share with the venue so that they can work with us to bring you an even better event next time.
In general, we're very pleased to see that the vast majority of people (around 90%) found the event to be good or very good, despite the issues we encountered, some of the other key findings included:
- 71% found the on-site catering to be good or excellent
- Everybody found the bar to be average or better
- Cleanliness ratings were very high (not bad going for a LAN party!)
- Once the main issues were resolved, the majority of people found the internet to be acceptable, but only 12% thought it was good or better.
- We got the numbers of big games and fun tournaments about right
- Most people liked the event layout, but with a few improvements to be made
- 97% of you thought the staff were good or excellent
- Majority of people were happy with the shop
- The tournaments went well, but some improvements to be made
From the feedback, we can now prioritise improvements in certain key areas for epic.ELEVEN, we'd love to make everything perfect of course, but we have to start somewhere, our priorities will be:
- Internet - We hope to be able to share some news with you here soon
- Catering - Most people felt the catering was good for a LAN party, but we hope to work with the venue to make things even better now the caterers know what to expect
- Toilet Cleanliness - We can make some slight improvements here working with the venue
- Fun Tournaments - We've already added in the epic.HUNT to our epic.ELEVEN lineup, we'll have a look to see what else we can fit into the timetable
- Pub Quiz - We have a few areas to look at around space and team sizes to make the quiz more fair
- Tournaments - We'd like to get the tournaments all running more smoothly for epic.ELEVEN and sticking to timings better
- Communication - We need to make sure people know about what is happening around the event, particularly when things move away from the schedule
We'll bring you a full "you said, we did" list as we get closer to epic.ELEVEN so you can see exactly how we're going to improve on these areas. If you're interested in reading more, you can download a PDF copy of the summary results and take a look for yourselves.
