Next up, as part of our exciting plans for epic12, we'd like to introduce a new room, Lakeside!

As our February LAN is always our biggest, and the current main casual gaming hall is nearly full already. We didn't want any of you to miss out on spaces, so we've made some more, with capacity for over 100 gamers in our new ground-floor room.

Unfortunately Lakeside is only currently available for the February event in 2014 due to other bookings, but if it is successful, we'll certainly be looking to use it more in future.

During the next week, we will transfer everybody out of Portland roughly into the same seating layouts you have now. Then on Sunday 8th December, we will unlock the seating plan for the new room to let people shuffle around. Then we'll start to defrag things a little over the coming weeks to take into account the bigger row sizes (10 people now instead of 8).

Portland will now be used for indoor sleeping at epic12 as we continue to offer free indoor sleeping areas and camping for those people who LAN on a budget. We are currently looking at Pendeen to see if we can make a similar move to keep the two social rooms nearby at the event, we'll keep you posted on that if there are any developments.
