We've had a number of recent changes to the epic.LAN staff team due to holidays and other committments.
Firstly, Saboo will be stepping down as our event team leader due to work committments and Hg will take place leading that team from epic.SEVEN onwards.
We also welcome the familiar faces of Matthab, Raz and Rizzo to the event team for the next event. We are currently working on our COD4 team too and hope to be able to announce details shortly.
Good luck to Hg and all of the new members of the team!
We've been asking around the current community and the competitive scene trying to find a new tournament game to introduce to epic.LAN and we've had loads of emails and requests to add Call of Duty 4 in to our tournament series.
So, we're going to deliver for epic.SEVEN with our first £1000 Call of Duty 4 tournament!
Our little LAN, elite5 in November, sold out in just over 48 hours earlier this week! Our epic.lite events, are smaller community gatherings, with just 32 places and always extremely popular.
If you missed out, but still want to attend, you can either:
In the mean time, we still have plenty of spaces left for our September Alton Towers Trip and our last main event of the year, epic.SEVEN at the end of October.
Well we're finally rid of Nivek, we've dispatched him off to Germany for Gamescom for a look around to see what's up and coming in the gaming world and to get some ideas for our future events.
Do you think he realised they were one-way tickets...? Ahh, where is the love!
Anyway, have a read of his day one (but actually day three) diary!
Do you want to be a part of one of the UK's most exciting LAN events?
Due to some staff holidays for epic.SEVEN, we need to add to our staff team for the event and also hopefully to stay with us for future events in to 2012 as we continue to grow.
If you think you've got what it takes to be a part of our event team, then please do send us a few details about yourself, your background, why you'd like to be on the team and what you think you can add to our events and we'll be in touch!
Deadline for applications is Monday 29th August.
As epic.SIX fades into a distant, but awesome, memory, it's time to turn our focus towards epic.SEVEN already. The gap between epic.SIX and SEVEN is one of the shortest in our LAN calendar, meaning our last main event of the year is just under 11 weeks away!
Now we really want to see some good numbers for our last event of the year, so if you enjoyed epic.SIX go and and tell everybody! And remember if you bring entirely new people, then you get a £5 voucher to spend on future events.
As usual, our early booking discount is available, also giving you £5 off your tickets if you book before 6pm 1st September, what are you waiting for? Book Now!
As the event comes to a close it's time for a small piece of quiet reflection! As is customary we have created a short feedback survery that is only available to participants at epic.SIX which covers a few topics from venue to big games. Using the survey it allows us to be a bit clever with Excel and make some pretty graphs; it makes it far more valuable.
Anyway, find the survey under "My Account" => "Surveys".
Any problems, let us know!
We've been running our series of fun tournaments over the course of this event. A big thanks to everyone who took part. You have all been awarded the relevant achievements, if you've been missed drop me a PM and I'll get that fixed!
So in no particular order....

Congratulations to all our winners and a big thankyou to our sponsors Tt esports and Aqua Tuning!
Saturday night is always a great laugh at epic.LAN with the epic.Quiz that takes place in our Hall 1 bar. As always, we release the results and rankings so that you can see how little you really know about current affairs or the extent of your gaming theme tunes expertise!
A big congratulations to "Rupert Murdoch says he is touched by all the messages left on Amy Winhouse's answerphone" who have re-taken the crown.
We had 9 teams participate with a total of 51 participants resulting in a prize pot of £51 split:
Congratulations to Rasta.Xd who won the Tt eSPORTS epic.SIX Counter-Strike: Source Tournament.
Demos are already available at ftp://demos.epiclan.co.uk/pub/demos/epic.SIX/CSS/
Thank you to everyone for taking part, and we hope to see you all at epic.SEVEN in October.
