If you run out of cash at the event, or you want to help budget your daily spend on all things caffeinated and sugary then don't forget we have our event accounts available.
Simply visit the intranet when you're at the event, go to the account top-up page and you can load your account with money from PayPal, Credit/Debit Card and that will be made available for you to spend at the epic.LAN Tuck Shop.
Note that the event accounts are not available to use at the catering van or the bar as these are externally operated.
One of the many reasons why we were keen to launch epic.RADIO was to help bring you another dimension to our LAN events and to get the people who can't be there closer to the fun!
So we can now reveal some of our plans for epic.RADIO to bring you live coverage throughout epic.EIGHT!
If you can't be there, make sure you keep an eye on epiclan.co.uk and epicradio.co.uk for all of the latest news throughout the event!
It's nearly time to lock the seating plan ready for epic.EIGHT!
On Thursday evening, the seating plan will be locked, meaning that people who are already sat won't be able to move on the plan, new bookings can still select a seat after paying.
This process is to allow us to 'defrag' the seating plan in order to close any gaps and minimise the number of empty tables, particularly has we have to pay to rent in every table, so there's no point renting them in to sit empty all weekend.
Therefore, you may find that you move during the defrag process, so make sure you have your clan tags all set the same as the people you want to sit by to avoid any upsets! If you find that during the process, you are split up, then please contact us to get it fixed.
Thanks to kind support from Intel, we still have a few Turn Up & Play (TUP) spaces remaining for epic.EIGHT, so if you want to attend, but can't get your PC there, here's a great option for you!
TUP tickets are £80 each, so that's your £57 event ticket plus just £23 for use of a PC for the weekend!
The TUP machines will need to stay in the allocated area, so they cannot be moved to other seats.
To book, simply select the TUP ticket for epic.EIGHT, if you've already booked BYOC and you want to convert, then contact us and we'll arrange for you to pay the difference.
After reading through everybody's suggestions and keeping some of the usual old-favourites in, it's time to reveal the epic.EIGHT timetable!
Sadly we can't fit everybody's suggestions in, and we leave things like smaller RTS games and social games like Werewolves, 'Cards' etc. down to you all to play whenever you want a break from the normal timetable, but of course we will do shoutouts if you want to get people into those games, and you can also use IRC/Forums/Tweetwall to help.
Make sure you grab the games (if you want to play them!) before the event, and get them all updated in advance.
At epic.EIGHT we'll have brand new caterers providing all the food you need right outside the main entrance.
There will be an all-new menu, with great pricing and you don't even have to leave the site.
Don't forget that we also have a hog roast on the Friday night that you can pre book for £6.50 simply go to My Bookings and add the additional service.
Continuing with our epic.EIGHT timetable announcements, our next fun tournament is the free FPS game, Warsow.
We've decided to put a free game in to the tournament line up this time so that we can get as many players as possible in to the game! The exact tournament will be confirmed at the event when we know how many players we have.
If you haven't played Warsow before...then where have you been? Warsow is set in a futuristic cartoonish world where rocketlauncher-wielding pigs and lasergun-carrying cyberpunks roam the streets.
Grab the free game client now!
New to our console area for epic.EIGHT will be Kinect for Xbox360 and to celebrate we'll be running a fun Kinect Sports Bowling tournament during the weekend!
As always, the console area (based in Hall 1) with Nintendo Wii and Xbox360 is open for anybody to use throughout the weekend with a small selection of games, but feel free to bring along your games own to play too.
More fun tournament and big game details coming soon, keep watching this space...
We've seen some massive support for Call of Duty 4 at epic.EIGHT, with 24 teams and a full £2500 prize pot in sight!
So we're happy to reward the fantastic support of the COD4 community with even more prizes for the COD4 tournament thanks to sponsorship from Tt eSports! In addition to the cash prizes and event tickets for the top 3 teams, they'll also get to take away hardware from the Tt eSports product range!
Tt eSports will also be at the event so you can check out the hardware as well as being available on sale at the KustomPCs stand in Hall 1.
With only a handful of team spaces left for the COD4 tournament, then if you still want to take part then make sure you get your ticket now!
The first of many announcements over the next two weeks about epic.EIGHT!
With the massive F1 following in the epic.LAN community, then it's a no-brainer for us to run a fun F1 2011 tournament at epic.EIGHT! We've seen some great games of F1 2011 at our smaller elite events and with our community games nights so we're hoping for some great racing in this fun tournament!
And to make it even better, Club 3D will be kindly sending along a GeForce GTX 560Ti Green Edition graphics card for the lucky winner, so there's some extra incentive for Elsie not to get black flagged this time!
