In 2024 we're still going to have these events, but with a little twist that gives you an extra LUX event to attend but also makes sure we can keep putting on our growing tabletop events.
MSI has a history of working with EPIC.LAN going back to 2014 and now the partnership has been re-ignited with MSI joining as a sponsor to EPIC.LAN’s events for the next twelve months, starting with EPIC36 in July.
After a successful year of online and offline gaming events in 2021, EPIC.LAN and Intel have renewed their partnership for 2022, continuing to focus on community gaming and grassroots esports.
During 2021, EPIC.LAN delivered a regular series of online events before starting a gradual and careful return to the LAN hall with its flagship event EPIC34 in October which saw a near-normal event at its regular home of Kettering Conference Centre in the UK.
In 2021, EPIC.LAN continued to put on a range of events for online, offline and somewhere in between as the safe and careful journey back to the LAN hall continued. October 2021 saw EPIC34 return to its offline roots in an event that was as close to normal as possible in the current times and Overclockers UK was right there at the heart of it supporting the event and community.
Following on from the successful partnership that has been running since 2020, EPIC.LAN is pleased to announce that Overclockers UK will be back again for 2022 as a headline partner along with luxury gaming chair brand, noblechairs, as official chair partner for the events.
We've been trying really hard to find a way that we could at least try to have a small pilot COVID-Secure event this October, and it was all looking positive until there was clarification that participants would need to wear masks at all times when inside, except for at designated eating and drinking areas.
Yes, that would probably mean that you couldn't have food or drink at your desks, and that just meant that not enough people would have been willing to attend the event in those circumstances to make it viable.
Combine that with how close epic31 is to the "planned" easing of restrictions on events and how often we've observed the rules change and that sadly means that we don't believe any sort of physical LAN event is possible for the coming months until there are significant changes in the rules set out by the UK Government.
Grab your diaries, put the holiday requests in, it's the epic.LAN 2020 dates!

I think it's fair to say that epic.LAN has become the home of the UK Starcraft 2 community over recent years. Bearing in mind the game was released nearly 10 years ago, epic26 is about to see a full SC2 tournament with 32 players, with a community that is showing some more recent titles how it's done.
The SC2 players are always friendly and show the event and the epic.LAN staff a world of respect; because we keep supporting the community, they keep coming back, event after event and they're a pleasure to have at our LANs.
Earlier this week, I was contacted by someone who attended their first epic.LAN as a Starcraft 2 player in 2014, and went on to win the tournament at epic14, take 2nd place at epic15 & epic16 before moving on to play (and win) Overwatch at epic20 and of course Overwatch is where you will find Boombox playing now, but now with OWL team, Philadelphia Fusion.
Premium gaming equipment manufacturer, ASTRO Gaming, has joined the growing list of epic26 partners to support the Rocket League esports tournament with their professional gamer audio range.
Rocket League was added in to the epic.LAN line-up as an esports title last year after many years as a popular fun tournament and now with ASTRO support, players at the event will see one of the biggest epic.LAN prize pools to date for the title.
ASTRO Gaming’s support will mean that the epic26 cash prize pool is boosted across all tiers for Rocket League as well as additional hardware prizes for the 1st and 2nd place teams.
One of the world’s best-known gaming gear manufacturers, Logitech G, has teamed up with epic.LAN to sponsor its first Rainbow Six Siege tournament this February along with the Koyo Store.
The tournament, which is being supported by Ubisoft’s UK team, takes place at Kettering Conference Centre from 7-10 February and is open to all teams aged 18+.
Logitech G’s support will see the epic26 cash prize pool boosted across all tiers for Rainbow Six Siege as well as additional hardware prizes for the 1st and 2nd place teams.
