We're very pleased to confirm our first exhibitor for epic.TWELVE - Microsoft Global Test Organisation (GTO) who will be coming along to talk about roles at GTO Europe. They had this to say about coming along to the event:
We are the Global Test Organisation for Europe and we have a range of exciting roles. We test video games and entertainment applications on all Microsoft platforms: Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows PC, Surface and Windows Phone. If you're passionate about games, join us to work on developing the next amazing entertainment experience and become one of our skilled testers!
During the epic.TWELVE event we'll be introducing ourselves as a department and running a few gaming competitions. Take up the challenge and show us your skills to get some freebies!
We're please to confirm that our very good friends at InWin will be back once more to support epic.TWELVE with an awesome range of prizes and giveaways for our fun tournament series at the event.
Make sure you check out their fantastic cases and PSUs over on their website, then grab your epic.TWELVE ticket to have a chance of winning!
Oh and while you're there, give them a like on Facebook where they have regular competitions and giveaways to win cool stuff!
ESL UK and their partners over at Sweetpatch.TV have just announced the FIFA 14 Winter Championship, featuring heaps of hardware courtesy of Madcatz. The competition is to be hosted by us at epic.TWELVE and will run from Friday 14th - Sunday 16th February.
The Sweetpatch.TV crew will be at epic.LAN in full force, fielding a weekend of awesome FIFA 14 action which will be held in it's own dedicated themed room and streamed live to their native Twitch channel. For those who want to attend you have two options, the £30 one day experience which is valid for the tournaments on Saturday or Sunday, or for those that just can't get enough and for just a mere £10 more, the £40 full access ticket, which allows you to attend all the Sweetpatch.TV action throughout the weekend as well as seeing the rest of what epic.LAN has to offer.
We're really excited about epic.LAN in 2014, after our great first year of LAN Parties at the Kettering Conference Centre, we can't wait until February to get back and put on some great gaming events for you.
But it takes quite a bit of man (and woman) power to put on the events across our various teams and with some of our plans for 2014, then we need to keep growing the event team to keep making the events even more...epic (sorry).
Everybody on the team, right up to the management, is a volunteer, we all do it because we enjoy it and get a buzz at the end of the whole thing when we see hundreds of you enjoying the LAN. It is very hard work with long hours, but it's extremely rewarding, otherwise we simply wouldn't do it!
So we're looking for some willing helpers in the following areas:
With epic.TWELVE fast approaching, it's time for us to look at the big games and fun tournaments to keep you all busy through the event.
As always, we're keen to hear your suggestions, but remember for big games, we're looking at anything really over 16 players (you can sort smaller RTS/Co-Op type games amongst yourselves), and preferably reasonably cheap for people to pick up for the event.
Let us know your thoughts over on the forums!
It doesn't feel like it has been a whole year since our last Christmas message, but it's time to say goodbye again to another year and look forward to what 2014 will bring.
12 months ago we were planning our first event at Kettering Conference Centre and that move certainly paid off, with two fantastic events under our belts, including epic.TEN as our biggest to date. Our 2014 events see even more space for our casual gamers and a new partnership with ESL UK for some of our tournament games as we continue to bring you some of the best quality offline tournaments in the UK to help put the good old UK Scene on the map!
Next up, as part of our exciting plans for epic12, we'd like to introduce a new room, Lakeside!
As our February LAN is always our biggest, and the current main casual gaming hall is nearly full already. We didn't want any of you to miss out on spaces, so we've made some more, with capacity for over 100 gamers in our new ground-floor room.

ESL UK and epic.LAN are pleased to announce a partnership for the next instalment of the popular offline event series, epic.TWELVE. The joint venture will see the inclusion of a guaranteed £3,000 DOTA 2 competition in February 2014.

Interested? Able? Willing? Then get in touch with us and tell us a bit more about why you want to get involved and any relevant experience. For the majority of these roles, we would ask that you have at least attended one of our events in the past so you've experienced our events from the participant side.
