Not long to go now until team epic.LAN heads over to the world's biggest computer festival, Dreamhack in Sweden. Last winter over 10,000 people were checked into the event which encompasses not only gaming, but programming, music, design...in fact anything involving a computer.
Winbar, Saboo & Murray-Mint will be making the epic journey from Wednesday 26th through to Sunday 29th November and we'll be keeping you up to date throughout with regular blog updates to the website from all three members of the team and also on the epic.LAN Twitter. We'll make sure we upload plenty of photos and video clips where possible too, ready to inspire more of you to join us on the trip next year!
For those who enjoy LAN parties, this one is a must! It's a totally different style event to anything that happens in the UK, but really does aim to encourage a festival atmosphere...with computers.

We're sure some of you want to see a bit more of the epic.THREE venue and the facilities on offer, so we've updated our venue pages with some new details and pictures of the various facilities at the event which will also hopefully help you to find out where you're going when you arrive on site!

If you're going to spend nearly 4 days with us at epic.THREE, then you may as well make the space you're living in your own while you're there.
We're pleased to announce the return of the Decorate Your Desk competition at our next event after some great efforts made at epic.TWO, but this time we want more people taking part!
Prizes will be available to the most creative way in which people customise their space at the LAN and will be judged on the Friday evening of epic.THREE.
The main rules of the contest are that the entry must be safe, cannot use loud noises, cannot plug into the event power system and cannot excessively irritate your neighbours!
This is just the first of our mini-contests to be announced for epic.THREE, but you can only take part if you're there. Visit the epic.THREE site for more details and to sign up.
epic.Tuesday is on the horizon and this week we will be having some fun on some Payload maps... We have a nice selection of normal Payload and Payload Race maps to have a go at.... :)
If you have any suggestions for any other awesome Payload or Payload Race maps then feel free to tell us and we will look at getting them on the server for tomorrow. :)

That's right it's Halloween and the TF2 team have made a map, added 5 new achievements and HATS especially for it!! Yes hats, I said HATS!!!!
Tonight from 8:00pm our TF2 server will be running the new koth_harvest_event map for some scary Halloween fun....
So carve up your pumpkins, make them into funky looking faces and slap on a Gibus hat for the epic.Spooktacular event tonight!!!

To use our Left 4 Dead servers, the lobby leader needs to open up the console and type in "sv_search_key epiclan", when the game starts you should end up on our servers!

This is a good chance for everyone in the epic.Community to get together and play some games... Infact, bring a friend along... for FREE... The more people playing the merrier... 
This coming Tuesday 27th October will be TF2... So get out your sniper rifles and spin up your machine guns and lets get some good old fashioned gaming going....

Don't Forget!
The epic.THREE launch discount ends this Saturday, 31st October at 6.00pm.
To claim your early payment discount you need to book and pay for your place by 6pm. Any bookings which have not been confirmed by that time will be converted up to the full price.
Even though epic.THREE is 3 months away, we're already 1/3 full! 40 people so far have confirmed their seat for the first of our events at Uttoxeter Racecourse.

And remember, you can also book for other people if they're slacking and you want to sort out your group attendance!

In case you haven't already spotted them, the first two epic.LAN dates for 2010 are now available.
You already know about epic.THREE -25th-28th February 2010 and the bookings are already open for that event.
Then later on in the summer we'll see epic.FOUR running from 29th July - 1st August 2010 again at Uttoxeter Racecourse. Bookings for that one will open in the New Year.
In the mean time, get them into your diaries and book up for epic.THREE before the discount finishes at the end of October.
We've taken some time to go through the feedback now for epic.TWO and meet with the staff team involved and we've published a list of all the things we plan to improve for epic.THREE in February.
